We're out of town and needed a quick place to eat. Googled food near me and Hickory House popped up, we went and it was a little mom and pop shop. What awesome food we had, bbq sandwich looked like a commercial sandwich, it has 6 thick pieces of meat melted like butter with every chew, potato salad was like mashed potato super delicious, French fries crispy like I love them , sweet corn and dessert out of the ball park. Sorry not pics to show I was hungry, food was too good to not dig in right away.
Had a great lunch today at the Hickory House in Lancaster, TX. Moist brisket, delicious ham, and perfectly cooked turkey. I had the three meat plate with BBQ beans and green beans. If you are in the area, definitely make a pit stop for lunch or dinner!!
Great food, (breakfast is my favorite), great family-friendly atmosphere, and always busy, which means the food is always on point as well! Love the owner cuz he, cool character, always remembers your order too!!!
EXCELLENT loaded potato. Highly recommend a side of the green beans & don’t think about leaving without trying the banana pudding. Mike the owner is amazing!!

All the way from Mckinney Tx for the Warbirds and wheels event , stopped by hickory’s and could of stayed for ever. The people the atmosphere the well aged building and Them knowing almost every one who walked in the door told me I was in the right place. Everything was delicious. This is nostalgic America. Thank y’all . I ordered ribs to go too and they were delicious
Great and simple old school spot to grab a fantastic breakfast and lunch. Great BBQ and burgers. Don’t even get me started on the Banana pudding. Great place to stop in and meet the locals.
